In this role, you will support work to generate value for the Crown and optimise the availability of essential services for New Zealanders. You will be required to run effective and appropriate procurement processes while managing complex supplier expectations.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading Sourcing Activities: Developing and running robust procurement processes, including tenders, RFPs, and negotiations.
Documentation & Analysis: Writing up and presenting detailed analysis of proposals to the Board or Delegates.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with a variety of internal stakeholders, including legal, technical, and category managers.
Consultation Management: Managing the consultation process with interested parties and external suppliers.
Contract Implementation: Assisting with the implementation of contracts and managing the transition to contract management functions.
NZGP Compliance: Ensuring all activities comply with the NZ Government Procurement Rules and the broader legislative environment.

Government Procurement Expertise: Proven experience operating within the public sector procurement framework.
Meticulous Attention to Detail: A high degree of accuracy in documentation and data analysis.
Strong Communication: Exceptional skills in liaising with diverse stakeholders and presenting complex ideas clearly.
Negotiation Experience: Strong persuasion and influencing skills with a high level of commercial acumen.
